My favorite way to prepare ramen; basically substituting ramen noodles for spaghetti noodles. This is the base recipe that I use and I usually add whatever else I might have on hand, such as veggies that I sauté or leftover meat.

Ingredients[]

  • One package of ramen noodles
  • One egg
  • 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • Black pepper, to taste (optional)

Cookware[]

  • Medium saucepan
  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowl

Directions[]

  1. In the saucepan, boil the amount of water specified on the package of ramen noodles (typically, 2 cups).
  2. Once water is boiling, add the noodles and let boil according to the package's directions (typically 3 minutes).
  3. In a mixing bowl, wisk the egg and Parmesan cheese. If you are using black pepper, combine it as well.
  4. When the noodles are al dente, remove from heat and drain the water.
  5. Immediately combine the egg sauce and toss with the noodles.
